Virtual Boudoir Session with Genesis
New work from my recent virtual boudoir session with Genesis. With this session, I felt inspired by the quickly fading winter light. Starting with a golden hour sunset, blessing us with dramatic nearly-horizontal shadows, the session gradually became more somber and sensual with the arrival of twilight.
Virtual boudoir sessions are always unique, particularly because each woman I’ve worked with has a different way of relating to the camera and also to herself. Having worked with Genesis before, it was interesting to see how she has changed and become much more comfortable with herself in subtle ways. More confident to just move intuitively, this time needing practically no direction from me. Each person starts from a different place, but eventually, when you become truly comfortable with yourself and your body in front of the camera, moving and posing becomes effortless. I’ve written about this before, and its why I place so much importance on building rapport with people I work with and having a relaxed pace of work during the session.
